Our history
Sydneys Riders was started by Greg Ferraina, who wanted to create a welcoming community that is safe and open to anyone. With no judgement on skill level and the type of bike you ride. Established in 2008 amongst 20 friends and now over 10 years later SR has a fantastic community of 15,000 members that has successfully brought people together through having one thing in common. About Us
SR consists of a diverse group of riders with varied experience levels and from all walks of life.
Our core members having over 15 years riding experience and continuously contributing to build the SR community we know today.
Our group meets every Thursday at the Shell petrol station at Five Dock near Office Works on Parramatta Rd at 7:30pm for a 8:00pm sharp departure. Our destination changes every week, with each ride taking about 2-3 hours (60kms).
OUR VISION
With every weekly ride our community continues to grow through meeting new faces and welcoming new riders we aim to:
Provide a safe and friendly environment for everyone.
Give Riders the tools and knowledge to improve their skills, especially for novice or new riders.
Organize day trips, as some riders that may not feel comfortable taking the road alone.
Support riders wanting to experience track days, drag nights, freestyle sessions and even off road riding.
Creating a platform to build friendships, connections and a network of people willing to help one another.
Give back to our community and charity organisations as much as we can.

Events
Along with our weekly Thursday Night Rides we organise monthly day trips, track days, pit stops and in 2023 we hope to see the return of SR Moto Fest a short film competition.
Although we encourage all level riders to join us we do not promote any unsafe riding as it may injure or affect others and in a large pack and the damage could be fatal. We do not take any responsibility for anyone’s actions, damages or legal issues, it’s your choice to ride with us.

SR END OF MONTH (EOM) RIDE
On the last Sunday of every month we gather up the crew and head out to enjoy the sunshine and open roads! Our destination changes every ride and we’re out all day (200k loop) on some of Sydneys most amazing roads.

SR Santa Ride - Bear Cottage Charity Event

Over 750 bikes joined us for our annual SR Santa Ride. Everyone came together to raise money for Bear Cottage Donations. Bear Cottage is the only children’s hospice in NSW - a very special place that’s dedicated to caring for children with life-limiting conditions.
Let’s make this year our biggest ride ever and spread some Christmas cheer!
PAST EVENTS
SR | Turn One
Turn One was created to inspire better riders. A skill development group for all levels. Whether it is your first turn on the road or first turn on the track, this mentor/buddy group aims to help improve riding technique, road craft and track technique. The idea is to team up mentor and buddies together in a sealed environment to practice some fundamentals and organise rides.
Pitstop
Initially it started with us welcoming new riders into the group through our mentor program at Homebush. Our first meeting was structured around Steering & Braking Drills / Motorcycle Ergonomics and has now grown to a day event out on the Old Pac, We set up a lube station, marquee, fire up the BBQ to create a pitstop that is welcome anyone (rider or not).We provided a complimentary BBQ with gourmet steaks, sausages and drinks. All free! Come join us!
Freestyle Practice Days
This two day, weekend event is an opportunity to practice your freestyle riding in a safe environment on a sealed private road alongside your mates. You can bring your own bike and learn control without the fear of police or losing your licence.
Motofest
A two-wheeled worshippers film competition giving riders the opportunity to express their motorcycling experience through film. Featuring three categories: professional, amateur and people's choice.

Its that time of year again where we take a break to enjoy the festive season and have some time off to be with our families and friends.
But unfortunately for some families and little ones these times are harder than ever.
With our donations to bear cottage we give these families the much needed support to ease the pain and the opportunity to enjoy these special moments.
In 2024 we raised an amazing $6500 towards Bear Cottage with over 600 Riders Attending!
This year we have a TARGET of $10000 so get the word out so we can get everYone behind this great cause!

Bear Cottage are a privately run Hospice for Children with life limiting conditions. Bear Cottage is close to us as one of our senior members had his child stay there for a short but precious time. We donate 100% of your funds directly too them, so please show your support.
